Chaitanya school management to oversee Keshav Reddy schools

Vijayawada: The AP government has given the responsibility of overseeing the operations of Keshav Reddy schools to the management of Chaitanya educational institutions. An official communication in this regard was issued by the AP Education minister Ganta Srinivas Rao, here on Monday.

The minister clarified that only the academic operations of the schools would be transferred to Chaitanya and it had nothing to do with the properties and assets of Keshav Reddy schools.

Nagireddy Keshav Reddy, owner of Keshav Reddy schools had been earlier arrested by the police for extorting sums of money from the students' parents in the name of deposits. The government appears to have taken this step to overcome the managerial vacuum that arose after Nagireddy's arrest.
