BJP leaders speak out on Polavaram

Rajamundry: BJP leaders have made critical comments about the Polavaram project. Finding fault with the government’s stance on the issue, the former union minister and BJP leader Daggubati Purandeshwari alleged that several doubts still persist about the Polavaram project and added that it was the state government’s responsibility to clarify them.

The ex-minister pointed out that the Polavaram Project Authority was not being taken into confidence and added that the central government would respond only after the state government explains its position. Meanwhile the cabinet minister for water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation, Uma Bharati has stated that there will not be any increase in the dam height.
