APMS holds dharna against growing atrocities on women

Protesting the growing atrocities against women in the State, the members of the Andhra Pradesh Mahila Samakhya (APMS) staged a dharna at Indira Park in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Later, they organised 'Chalo Assembly' to register their protest.

When the police tried to obstruct the women activists there was a mild tension prevailed  in the area. Later, the police arrested several protestors including the APMS prominent member Hanni Raja.  

The activists said that since the beginning of this year atrocities against have been on the rise. They demanded the government to take necessary steps to curb these atrocities.
