Andhra Pradesh Adjourned Sine Die After Transacting Legislative Business For 14 Days
Amaravati: After 14 days of heated debate and enacting 20 key bills, the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die by Speaker Tammineni Sitaram on Tuesday. The House sat for 78 hours and 35 minutes.
In conclusion, Speaker Sitaram congratulated and thanked every member for participating in the discussions aimed at the welfare of the people. He particularly thanked the Leader of the House YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for successfully transacting the legislative business.
Later in the day YS Jagan tweeted that Assembly sessions had provided the YSRCP government in fulfilling the major promises made during the election campaign.
Here's what he tweeted on the microblogging site: "Nineteen Bills that will change the course of the State have been passed. Women, SC, ST, BC, minority, poor and middle-class welfare has been given due importance. Treating Manifesto as a holy book, we took our first steps in fulfilling the majority of promises through our first budget."
