6 of West Godavari Families Killed in Bihar Road Accident

Kovvuru: Six persons belonging to two families from Chagallu in Kovvuru mandal of West Godavari died in a road accident in Bihar on Sunday.Identified as village secretary Machavarapu Satyanarayana(58), his mother Padmavathi(78), son Pavan(23), retired panchatyiraj EO of Nidadavolu Sriram(65), his wife and sister. Satyanarayana's wife was seriously injured.

The two families were on a tour to pilgrim places in North India in a car. The accident took place at Mahaniya GPR Road in Bhagial district in Bihar when they were on their way to Kashi-Gaya.

With the heads of two families dying, a pal of gloom prevailed in Kovvuru, I. Thangadi which is Satyanarayana's native village. Local police are making efforts to get the bodies back.
