12-Year-Old Boy Dies After Imitating A Cartoon Scene

Hyderabad: Inspired by a cartoon show, a 12-year-old boy set himself on fire. He succumbed to injuries after he attempted a fiery stunt from a cartoon series. The incident took place on Friday at Balapur area in the city.

Madugula Jaideep, was residing with his grand parents in the city. On Friday, when his grand parents were busy in household chores, he went to terrace and set himself on fire using kerosene. After he was caught by fire, he called his grand parents to show them how he is unaffected by the fire.

Shocked over his grandson's act, they doused the fire and shifted him to a hospital. The boy suffered more than 40 per cent burns. He succumbed to burns on friday.

Based on his father Mahipal's complaint, the police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
