'102' health scheme launched - Sakshi Post

Eluru: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday launched a health scheme targeted at pregnant women and their newborns.102 health service was launched in West Godavari district. Under the scheme, every mother, after delivery in Government hospitals, and her newly born child would be transported to her residence along with family members free of cost.

The family members concerned have to dial '102', either from cellphone or landline, to avail this scheme. Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said a sum of Rs 900 crore has been allocated for the scheme. Naidu also launched 'NTR health services' at Government hospitals.

Under this scheme, about 60 pathology tests would be conducted by the Government hospitals free of cost. The Chief Minister said his Government is committed to serve the poor and provide them health services'. Naidu said his vision is to transform the State as 'Arogyandhra Pradesh'.
