'Zabardast' Comedian Venu arrested

Hyderabad: Comedian Venu was arrested by OU police on Tuesday night for one of his skits in TV show Zabardast.

According to reports, Venu in December performed a skit in a TV show on the Gouda community. People belonging to Goud caste association were offended over the portrayal of their community in the top-rated comedy show 'Jabardast.' The Goudas who were hurt by the skit, lodged a complaint against the comedian at the OU police station.
Earlier, on December 21st, stating that Venu has insulted the community, some people attacked him. He has been rushed to a Apollo hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger. After investigation, Police filed a  case on Venu and the show for hurting sentiments of a particular caste.
