YSRCP MLAs end hunger strike - Sakshi Post

After five long days of indefinite hunger strike, the YSR Congress Party leaders who were fasting at the New MLA Quarters in Hyderabad were evicted from the fast site by police and forcibly shifted to the NIMS hospital at 12.30 a.m as the health of some of them was deteriorating.

However, YS Vijayamma and her party MLAs and MLCs continued their fasting and refused treatment at the hospital, stating that they would not call off their protest until the state government conceded their demands.

Later, Venkata Ramaiah, a farmer from Railway Koduru  of YSR Kadapa and Senior journalist Potturi Venkateswara Rao offered lemon juice to the MLAs to end the 'Current Satyagraha' as the health condition of some of them worsened due to five days of fasting.

It is a known fact that the YSRCP leaders were on a hunger strike from the past five days to demand immediate rollback of the hiked power charges.
