YSRCP MLA foregoes food for Handri Neeva water

YSR Congress Party MLA Y.Visweswara Reddy began a hunger strike demanding that the TDP government complete the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi project immediately.

The Uravakonda MLA along with a scores of supporters staged the hunger strike near plaque of the to be completed project at Uravakonda in Anantapur. 

He demanded that the Government allocate Rs 1000 crore for the project in the ensuing budget and allot 100 TMC of water for the project.
Several leaders including YSRCP MLAs Peddireddy, Jayaramudu and Ex-MP Ananta Venktrami Reddy extended their support to the fasting MLA.
