A woman passenger was asked to deboard a plane recently over her 'inappropriate dress'. The incident took place on March 12 when the woman, Emily O'Connor was taking a flight from her hometown, Birmingham in England to Tenerife, Spain via the Thomas Cook Airlines.

Dressed in a black crop top with spaghetti straps and high-waisted orange pants, the 21-year-old was asked by the Airlines crew to either cover up or to get off their flight.

Stating that her outfit was inappropriate, the crew further added that it was causing offense to her fellow passengers.

Reeling from the shocking incident, Emily shared the entire incident on Twitter where she also revealed that a passenger in the flight had abused her but the crew took no action against him.

O'Connor pointed out that nobody raised an objection on her outfit when she was passing through the security check. Post the incident, Emily even asked her fellow passengers in the flight whether her outfit was offending anyone to which no one raised a problem. However, one man abused her and even asked her to put a jacket on. Following this, she wore a jacket given by her cousin.

Calling it the worst experience of her life, Emily wrote, "I was physically shaking, and they could see that, yet they continued to sexualize and ridicule me."

In response to the incident, the Airline issued a statement apologizing to Ms. O'Connor adding that they could have handled the situation better. However, they asserted on their appropriate attire policy which applies equally to men and women of all ages without discrimination.

The incident garnered mixed reactions on Twitter with some speaking in support of Emily while others think what the Airlines did was right.
