Woman kills self due to dowry harassment

A 27-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to the harassment of her husband and in-laws for more dowry in Kushaiguda.

According to reports, the deceased Nagamma, was married to Prasad about five years ago and the couple was blessed with a baby boy.
Prasad started harassing Nagamma for the past few weeks demanding additional dowry. The couple quarreled with each other on the issue.
On Wednesday, Nagamma committed suicide as her husband kept troubling her for dowry, the girl’s parents allege.
Police register a case under section 306 and 498A and the body was shifted to Gandhi hospital for a postmortem examination.
