Woman kills husband for molesting 16-year-old daughter

Karimnagar: Tirupathamma (40) hit her husband Ravula Sampath by a pestle on Saturday night at their residence, Huzurabad Deputy Superintendent of Police M Ravinder Reddy said on Sunday.

Sampath, a washer-man, was habitual drinker and he tried to outrage the modesty of his 16-year-old daughter on several occasions. Enraged over his behaviour, she attacked him when he was in an inebriated state after an altercation, Reddy said.

Sampath died on the spot, the officer said. Following a complaint, a case under relevant sections of IPC was registered and investigations are underway. However, no arrests have been made so far, police said.
