What are heroines doing on fields?

For any filmmaker, the first step in promoting a movie is to release its posters. The creative personnel break their heads over how innovatively they can design the film poster. And when the end product comes out, that's the first impression that's imprinted in the minds of film buffs who base their judgments based on what they see in the poster.

Before and after the release of every movie, huge cut outs and banners featuring lead actors in the movie are displayed on the roads, walls of the theatres to woo audiences. These posters remain there till a new movie is released. The old posters are eventually disposed off.

Sakshipost, villagers said that they had found a new use for these posters and using them as 'drishti bomma' (dolls put up near crops to ward off birds and evil eyes).

So what if the heroines didn't get any appreciation in the movies, the villagers are all praise for them as they guard the fields from the evil eyes.
