We cannot take up the Seshachalam encounter case: SC

Supreme Court on Monday said it wouldn't take up the Seshachalam encounter as the AP High Court and the NHRC are already investigating the matter.

One of the family members of the persons killed in the encounter approached the Supreme Court asking it to direct the Centre to institute a CBI probe into the matter. He contended that it was a fake encounter. However, the Apex Court felt that it could not take up the case as the issue was already taken up by the High Court and the NHRC.
