Vijayawada-Dharmavaram train flagged off

Vijayawada: A tri-weekly express train between Vijayawada-Dharmavaram has been launched on Tuesday providing connectivity to the people of Rayalaseema with Andhra Pradesh capital -Amaravati.
Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu flagged off the train from Rail Bhavan, New Delhi. “The long-cherished demand of the Rayalaseema people has been fulfilled with the introduction of this train,“ he said.
Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Ashok Kumar, said that the train (No.17215) will depart on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from Vijayawada at 11.10 pm and will reach Dharmavaram at 10.45 a.m the next day.
The train will halt at at Guntur, Narasaraopet, Vinukonda, Markapur Road, Giddalur, Nandyal, Dhone, Gutti and Anantapur stations.
In the return journey, train (No.17216) will leave from Dharmavaram on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 5.50 pm and arrive in Vijayawada at 6.50 am the next day.
