TS govt wants all vehicle number plates to be changed

Hyderabad: Telangana State government has passed orders on Thursday, stating that all the number plates of vehicles in Telangana state should be changed within the time of 4 months.

According to orders of Telangana State Transport Department, the state code ‘AP’ is going to be replaced with ‘TS’ and the district codes will be changed accordingly. While the 4-digit number will be remain same.

The officials said a period of 4 months was given to all the owners of the vehicles that bounded in Telangana state to change to the new pattern, adding that, the vehicle owners can also get the service by availing online registration service.
