Top Seemandhra leaders up in arms before Diggy at Lakview - Sakshi Post

In view of the reports that Congress high command is tilting towards separate state for Telangana, Seemandhra leaders on Monday called on Digvijaya Singh, Union Minister and in-charge of AP affairs at Lakeview guest house in Hyderabad to make their outburst.

In an unprecedented way, about 12 ministers, five MPs and 42 MLAs expressed their dissent over the Centre’s move on Telangana.  They reportedly presented a detailed report on how the new issues will arise with bifurcation of the State especially sharing of irrigation water from the projects such as Srisailam, Nagarjuna Sagar and Pulichintala.

Earlier in the day, Singh headed a co-ordination committee meeting of the Pradesh Congress Committee at Gandhi Bhavan.

Digvijaya Singh also said that Congress Core Committee would meet within a week and take a decision on the contentious issue in the meeting. He also said that the high command would summon Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarana to the meeting.

He made it clear that all the Congress leaders in both the regions should abide by the decision taken by Congress high command.
