Tirupati shuts down over JAC protests

The students Joint Action Committee (JAC) on Tuesday called for shutdown in Tirupati, opposing the division of state.

Following the bandh call, educational institutions in the town remained closed. Raising slogans in favour of a united state, a large number of students took a out rally at Varadaraju Nagar. They stopped a bus and damaged its windows, demanding that APSRTC extend its support for the bandh.
