Tirumala: Esha's Gayatri mantra tattoo triggers protests

That Esha Deol got a tattoo done on her back is no news. However, the content of her tattoo had raised many eyebrows and also invited the wrath of many!

Esha had got the holy 'Gayatri Mantra tattooed' on the lower part of her right shoulder. This had created a controversy in the past. Things cooled down when Esha promised to get it removed. However, she doesn't seem to have stayed true to her words.

Esha was spotted with the same tattoo in Tirumala on Wednesday. Seeing the tattoo, several devotees protested in the hill town, alleging that she was showing disrespect to Goddess by getting the powerful mantra tattooed on her shoulder. Worse, she also failed to get it removed despite protests last time!

Esha was at the Tirumala Tirupati Devstanams in the morning to seek the blessings of Lord Balaji. While she was returning after seeking the darshan of Lord Venkateswara, she had to face the ire of many devotees, sources said. Esha was wearing a saree and the tattoo on her shoulder was clearly visible to the public!
