'Telugu film industry in the stranglehold of '4 biggies'

Telugu film industry is being controlled by four powerful families, alleged Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Saturday, he said that it was pathetic that Telangana producers and actors were not getting adequate importance in the film industry.

The MLC welcomed the statement of Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao that the state government would allocate 2000 acres of land for the film industry.

He demanded the government to make public the irregularities taking place in Film Nagar Society.

He also asked the government to order a probe on the constructions being made by film personalities in the lands given to them on lease for promoting film industry.
