‘Telangana Prince’ KTR Asks Partymen to Remove Birthday Greeting Cutouts and Banners  

Hyderabad: Telangana Prince, as described by supporters on huge celebratory cutouts and banners all over the city, on his birthday on Sunday, IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, won many praises on social media after he took to Twitter to ask the GHMC to remove those posters and banners. The officials promptly responded and removed most of them.

However, some of KTR’s supporters were still enthusiastic enough to take the celebrations to the skies and showered flowers on their leaders cutouts at Tank Bund area on Sunday.

Netizens said that the minister was walking the talk as in April this year, the minister had declared a “war on posters, flexis, hoardings and banners” erected without permission from the civic body.

The minister issued ‘strict instructions’ to the GHMC to file criminal cases against those violating rules and erecting such posters or banners without any permissions, a statement from his office said. Hyderabad, the minister said, should henceforth be truly ‘Swachch Hyderabad’ and it must be kept clean by the GHMC with the cooperation of the citizens.

However, when a Twitter user uploaded a few photos of banners and posters put across Hyderabad celebrating KTR’s birthday, the Minister responded instantaneously and proved he is equally strict in his own case.
