Telangana Eamcet Begins On Time, No Students Allowed After 1-Minute Late

Hyderabad: The Telangana Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy and Veterinary Entrance Test, Eamcet-2017 began on Friday. The admission test for engineering stream is conducted in the morning session from 10.00am to 1.00pm and the agriculture and medical streams such as veterinary and pharmacy is scheduled from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

Candidates are required to reach the examination center before 8.30am for the engineering test and 1pm for the agriculture and medical exam along with their hall tickets or downloaded application. The downloaded application should be attested by gazetted officer.

“No candidates will be allowed for the test if he or she is late by even a minute and no electronic gadgets will be allowed inside the hall,” JNTUH Registrar and Eamcet Convener N. Yadaiah said.

About 2,20,248 students, including 1,41,187 for engineering stream, are appearing for the entrance test in 246 centers across the state. For 26,214 candidates writing the test in AP, 10 centers in Tirupati, 29 in Vijayawada, and eight in Visakhapatnam were provided.

For the first time, the test did not include medical courses, including MBBS, BDS and Ayush, as these were made part of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).
