techie held for blackmail, rape

A hyderabad-based techie, Manoj, was arrested by the Rajendranagr police on charges of blackmailing and raping a 30-year-old physiotherapist.
 
The victim working at a private nursing home, alleged that Manoj repeatedly threatened to kill her family members if she did not meet him frequently. She also alleged, that she was drugged and raped in May and August.
 
Following incessant blackmailing by Manoj, the victim gathered courage to lodge a complaint with the police. She has been sent for medical examination, Rajendranagar inspector V Umender said.
A case has been registered and a manunt launched to nab the accused.
