T staff attend duties wearing black badges - Sakshi Post

Responding to the call given by pro-Telangana bodies, employees in the State Secretariat in Hyderabad today attended their duties wearing black badges.

Some staff members are seen moving in the Secretariat precincts with even black caps on their heads.
The pro-Telangana organizations have given a call to observe November 1 (Andhra Pradesh Formation Day) as a betrayal day and appealed to all the people in Telangana to wear black badges as a mark of protest. Responding to the call, employees in the State Secretariat, the seat of power, attended to their duties wearing black badges.
They also raised pro-Telangana slogans in the Secretariat premises. They said that they would resort to a prolonged agitation if a decision on separate state formation was not announced immediately. Staff members in other government departments are also seen wearing black badges. The police took into custody some protestors and later released their on bail.
However, Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao termed the arrests as a blatant violation of human rights. “These arrests are a clear violation of human rights as every citizen has a right to stage protests and the people of Telangana are not allowed even to raise their voices. Confining TJAC leader Kodandaram to house arrest too amounts to rights violation,” Harish Rao told mediapersons in Hyderabad.
He said that the two-day party conclave being held at Krimnagar on November 5 and 6 will chalk out the TRS future course of action to intensify the fight for Telangana. The TRS MLA felt that the just concluded Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy’s three-day Indiramma Baata in Medak district was an exercise in futility as he (the Chief Minister) could not find a solution to even the power crisis. “Kirankumar washed off his hands by passing the blame onto the grid failure,” he remarked.
The Indiramma Baata has been turned into a political programme and leaders, big and small, are making series of promises that can not be implemented practically, Harish Rao said.
Harish termed as a political gimmick TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s “Vastunna Meekosam” Padayatra. While a feeble Naidu was managing to continue his foot march without any support from the party cadre, the TDP leaders are enjoying attending rave parties in Hyderabad, he stated. He asked Naidu to spell out how he would raise funds to fulfill the series of promises that he has been making to the people.
With the regard to the hoisting of tricolor at the NTR Trust Bhavan today as part of the AP Formation Day celebrations, Harish Rao said that it reflects the double-tongue policy of Naidu on separate Telangana.
