'T govt conducts review meeting for Batukamma festival'

“Batukamma festival, which reflects the culture and history of Telangana, will be held in a way which will attract the entire nation and the world,” said President of Telangana Jagruti Samiti and TRS MP Kavitha.

She attended the review meeting on the festival conducted by the chief minister on Friday. Some higher officials have also attended the meeting.

Speaking to reporters soon after the meeting, she said, “Telangana government has allotted an amount of Rs.10 cr for the festival. The festival will be held in a grand way at Tank Bund in Hyderabad along with in 10 districts of Telangana. Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan and four women chief ministers in the state will also be invited to the state for the festival.”

The most popular festival will be held from September 24 to October 2 in Telangana.
