Dark Clouds Eclipse Hyderabad As Commuters Battle Rain Woes
It was the same story of a clear morning, hot afternoon and a downpour by evening. Dark clouds enveloping the Hyderabad skyline gave enough warnings of what the evening is going to be. Again, as it rained, it was the same story of marooned colonies, flooded roads and chock-a-block vehicular traffic.
The commute back home became an ordeal. Heavy traffic jams were reported from several places, including Nampally Taj Island, Shivaji Bridge near State Central Library, Mahaveer Hospital, Begumpet, Rajiv Gandhi statue, Secunderabad, Medicity hospital, Dwaraka Hotel, Hyderguda, Punjagutta model house and HImayath Nagar. Madhapur reported 5.8 cm of rain.
