SHRC cracks the whip on Bandla Ganesh for child labour

An advocate approached the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) with a complaint against producer Bandla Ganesh.

A case was registered with SHRC against the Tollywood producer for violation of child labour laws. A 9-year-old girl was raped in the poultry farm belonging to Bandla Ganesh. The unfortunate incident took place  last week at the Parameshwara poultry in Mahbubnagar district. Sreenu (40) raped the minor girl and kept the issue under wraps.

A High Court lawyer Soma Raju filed a complaint requesting that the accused be booked under the Nirbhaya Act and producer be booked under the Child Labour Act.

The lawyer alleged that Bandla could be scot free as he has connections with political bigwigs. the tragedy is that despite the fact that a minor girl was raped, police has failed to act.

The SHRC has directed the district SP to probe the case and submit a report before September 27.
