A severely bleeding Yadagiri was rushed to a nearby hospital for the treatment. Though the criminals are yet to be identified, the police are suspecting that land disputes could be the reason for the attack. Eyewitnesses also said Yadagiri was injured severely.

The incident was recorded in a CCTV footage.

Meanwhile, after a while, Yadagiri came to the police station with bullet injuries to lodge a complaint. Confirming the firing, Commissioner of Police Mahendar Reddy said that there was some scuffle before the shooting.

The police are also probing from various angles, including personal grudge. They are also looking into whether Saturday’s attack has anything to do with the recent shootout at Alwal in the city.

Some sources in the police suspect that Dakkala Babu of Alwal, a rowdysheeter, may have had a hand in the attack. Unconfirmed reports say that his presence in the area was recognised from the CCTV footage.
