Shankar Rao faces music for harassing Vamsi Priya

The CSS police on Monday arrested former Minister and Secunderabad Cantonment MLA P. Shankar Rao in connection with a harassment case.

It may be recalled that Shankar Rao's daughter-in-law Vamsi Priya filed a complaint against Shankar Rao and his family member alleging that  they harassed her and treated  her in an inhuman way for dowry.

Shankar Rao's son Shashank married Vamsi Priya in 2005. They started harassing her after Shashank's sister ie Shankar Rao's daughter separated from her husband and came to live with them, Vamsi Priya alleged.

She also approached High court on June 19 seeking action against Shankar Rao for allegedly harassing her.

Latest reports suggest that Shankar Rao fell unconscious soon after he reached police station. Later, he was shifted to  a nearby hospital in the police vehicle itself.
