Scribes protests against 'biased' attitude

Agitating journalists refuse to relent and continued their protest in Hyderabad today against the State Government's bias towards a section of the media.

In the morning, tense moments were witnessed when Telangana journalists took out a rally from the Gun Park to the State Secretariat to express their resentment at the bias shown by the police in not allowing them for Prime Minister  Manmohan Singh's programme at the Cop-11 summit in Hyderabad yesterday.

When police stopped the journalists at the Gun Park, they staged a sit-in for some time and obstructed the traffic at the State Assembly building. Mediapersons, including women journalists from Telangana continued their agitation and squatted in front of the DGP's office. The protesting scribes are demanding that the Government come out with the proper explanation for showing such bias towards a section of the media.
