RIP: Uday Kiran's last rites performed in Erragadda

Actor Uday Kiran who committed suicide on Sunday was cremated on Tuesday at the Erragadda cremation grounds.

Prior to the cremation his body was taken to the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce for his colleagues from the industry and his fans to pay their last respects.

According to reports, the funeral pyre was lit by Uday Kiran's father. Reportedly, the duo had strained relations, after his father went in for a second marriage.

Uday had a number of hits to his name, including 'Chitram', "Nuvvu Nenu" and "Manasantha Nuvve". But post successes, he saw massive failures and it was his flagging career that finally pushed him over the edge.
