Police register case against Mohan Babu in Jangaon

On a petition filed by Brahmin organisations against the producer and some actors of the film 'Denikaina Ready' a court  in Jangaon, in Warangal District on Monday directed the  police to register a case against the film producer, director and actors of the film.

The Jangaon police registered cases under different sections of the IPC  against the film producer Mohan Babu, lead actor Vishnu, director Nageshwar Reddy, comedian Brahmanandam and Dhanalakshmi on court orders.

The cases were registered under sections of 295 (deliberate and malicious acts), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race) and 298 (uttering, words with deliberate intention).

Stating that the film had depicted Brahmins in a derogatory manner and had hurt the sentiments of the community, the organisations approached the court, said a senior member of the community.
