Pickpockets on the prowl in Tirumala

it is a heyday for small time thieves  in the hill shrine of Tirumala on Wednesday. Two devotees who were on the queue line for the Lord’s darshan complained of theft.

They alleged that some pickpockets stole Rs 1.10 lakhs from them. Alerted by the complaint, the TTD vigilance staff started checking the devotees coming out of the temple. The devotees brought money to drop in the Srivari Hundi, but the thieves showed their tactic before their vow was fulfilled.
