Union Minister of State for Finance J.D.Seelam has said that they had proposed about ten corrections to the AP Reorganisation Bill – 2013.

“We have requested to merge some villages from Bhadrachalam and Paloncha divisions in Seemandhra and Anantapur and Kurnool districts in Telangana”, informed Seelam. The minister said that special package should be given to the backward areas in Rayalaseema and North Andhra regions.

He also asked the centre to convert the entire GHMC area into an union territory. “About 225 constituencies should be made in Seemandhra and 153 in Telangana”, advised the minister.

He demanded that part of the revenue of Hyderabad be given to Seemandhra region for a period of ten years. “Seemandhra people must be allowed to use all kinds of institutions in Hyderabad till such ones are established in our region too”, said Seelam.
Seelam explained that there was no objection for bifurcation of the state if his demands are accepted.
