OCTOPUS cop goes missing in Tirumala

A policeman of the Organization for Counter Terrorist Operations (OCTOPUS), the elite anti-terror commando unit of Andhra Pradesh, has gone missing in the world famous temple town of Tirumala.

Gowdappa, a head constable attached to OCTOPUS, has been missing from Tirumala for the past two days.
He has been drafted for security duty atop the Tirumala Hills and he has not been attending his duties for the past two days. This information is already passed on to the higher authorities of the OCTOPUS in Hyderabad, police in Tirupathi said. The reasons for his disappearance are not immediately known but investigation is on to trace him, the police added.
