None will be spared in Minorities Welfare Dept scam: Minister

Minister for Minorities' Welfare Ahmedullah has said that no one, regardless of the position he or she holds, will be spared in the scam that the Minorities' Welfare Corporation is mired in.

The scandal centering on fixed deposits amounting to over Rs. 50 crore, is being probed by the CB-CID.
According to the investigating agencies, certain staff members of the corporation are suspected to be hand in glove with some bank employees, which is how they could pull the scam off. The Managing Director of the Corporation, Ilyas Rizvi, an Indian Forest Service officer, whose role is under the scanner has already been shifted while the probe has picked up momentum.
