Tirumala: Covid Negative Report, Vaccine Certificate Must for Darshan

A Covid-19 negative test or vaccination certificated is made mandatory for travellers entering the hill town of Tirumala. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) has announced that those pilgrims with the Covid-19 negative test report or those who inoculated with both the doses of vaccine against the Coronavirus are allowed for visiting the Tirumala deity.

TTD Trust board chairman YV Subba Reddy made an announcement on Wednesday that these rules will be in existence from October 2, 2021. He urged the devotees to strictly follow the Covid guidelines and co-operate with the Devasthanam officials.

Subba Reddy further stated that 8,000 online quota and 3,000 special entry darshan tickets will be released online on September 24. Besides this 8,000 slotted Sarva Darshan tickets will be released online for September 26-31 on September 25 at 9 AM.

He said, “As the overcrowding at Sarva Darshan token-issuing centres has become the source for the spread of the Covid virus, we will stop the issuance of tokens in Tirupati from September 26.”
