Vey Dharuvey Review

 - Sakshi Post

Story:

Kamareddy Shankar (Sai Ram Shankar) is one of those uneducated idler who migrates to Hyderabad in pursuit of employment. He resorts to fake certificates and fake experience methods with the help of a friend. He falls in love with Shruti (Yasha Ravi kumar) at first sight. To help matters, she works for a job consultancy that is into producing fake certificates.

Veera Venkata Satyahari Prasad, the head of the aforementioned consultancy, develops differences with his younger brother Banu Prasad (Sunil) regarding how to run the business. Why did Shankar go head-on into the fake certificates mafia? Did he realize his goal? What are his lofty motives?

Performances:

Everyone in the film is cool. Sai Ram Shankar needs special kudos for staying the course for two decades. The brother of Puri Jagannadh is aware of his merits. He works efficiently and effectively. Yasha is irresistible with her glamorous looks.

Sunil and Devraj Pothuru are out of the world. Kashi Vishwanath is seen in a relatable role. '30 Years' Prudhvi, Satyam Rajesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Prabhas Seenu, Chammak Chandra, and others are there to elicit laughs.

Plus Points:

1. Screenplay.
2. Story.
3. Climax.
5. Characterizations.
6. Timing and pacing.

Minus Points:

1. A couple of repetitive scenes.

Analysis:

It is always a delight when someone with a mass image comes back with a bang. This film is replete with trademark comedy and punchlines. In the age of thrillers and crime mysteries, it is a relief that 'Vey Dharuvey' is unapologetically entertaining.

Right from the debut actress to the dozen comedians who have worked with gusto, this film has optimism and brightness wrig large. The scenes never overstay their welcome. At the same time, a couple of elements should have been de-hyphenated from the movie. They are not stretched out, though. There is an element of predictability in how the first act plays out.

Verdict:

'Vey Dharuvey' is the kind of film you would love to watch when you are in an energetic mood. The songs are foot-tapping and energetic to the hilt. The glorious portrayals stand out.
