Nandyal woman swallows dentures

In a freak mishap, a Nandyal woman accidentally swallowed dentures fixed only a day ago. The doctors removed the dentures using endoscopic micro-surgical procedure. 

The incident occurred on Friday night while the woman, idenfitied as 45-year-old Sri Lakshmi, was having her dinner. Only a day ago, a dentist had fixed the dentures on her. 

Speaking to reporters, doctor Vinod Kumar of Neeravathi Hospital said that the patient's condition would have worsened if the dentures touched the soft tissues of the intestine. She would also have suffered breathlessness, he said.
