Nampally court issues NBW against Owaisi - Sakshi Post

Hate speech cases continue to haunt Akbaruddin Owaisi. A local court in Hyderabad on Thursday issued a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi in connection with a hate speech case.

The VII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court in Nampally directed the Madannapeta police to produce Owaisi before the court on May 9.

An advocate Kashimshetty Karunasagar had filed a petition in the court in December last year against the MIM MLA for making hate speech at Nirmal in Adilabad district.

The court today directed the police to execute a NBW on or before May 9.

Akbaruddin's counsel Mohd Azim filed an application seeking to cancel the Non-Bailable Warrant. The court has posted the matter to Friday..

It may be recalled that Akbaruddin was arrested by the Nirmal police on January 8 and released on bail a month later.
