More than 20 trapped in debris; rescue operations on

More than 20 persons were trapped under the debris after a two-floor building collapsed on Rashtrapati Road in Secunderabad on Monday, police said.

Police said that it will take more than four hours for the officials to clear debris under which most of the laborers are trapped.

Police and GHMC workers are clearing the debris with the help of cranes, JCB machines and gas-cutters. CISF rescue team also reached the spot and are using sophisticated equipment to search for possible survivors among the debris of the building that collapsed.

It is learnt that GHMC workers also were at the hotel when the mishap occurred.
