Man burnt alive in car on PV express way identified

Man, who was charred to death while driving in his Maruthi Shift Desire car on PV Narasimha Rao Express way on Friday evening has been identified as Santosh Agarwal, an industrialist in the Katedan industrial area.
As he did not return home, the family members of Santosh Kumar approached the Rajendranagar police at around 11 pm.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Muthyam Reddy informed Sakshipost that Santosh Agarwal’s car might have caught fire due to electric short circuit. He could not come out from the moving car by releasing seat belt due to intense smoke.
The ACP ruled out explosion caused by CNG/gas as he was driving a diesel car. He further added that there were no chemical substances found in the car as suspected. Some tin caps have been noticed in the car as they were made in the Santosh’ factory and he was transporting them in the car at the time of the accident.
However, the police said the burnt car was under the scrutiny of forensic experts to know the exact reason for the blaze in the car.
