Land registrations stopped in Krishna, Guntur dts

Andhra Pradesh government decided to stop the land registrations in Krishna and Guntur districts, where the capital for the state is in proposal.

With the grapevines that the capital is formed here, land transactions have been taking place in these two districts in large numbers. The land prices here have been up by several times in the recent past.

The government took the decision as acquiring the land for the new capital may be difficult if the land prices went up in the area.

Further, the land owners, who bought their lands at a very high price, are showing the amount as little at the time of their registration. Keeping this also in mind, the government stopped the registrations here temporarily.
