Kurnool trainee pilot dies in plane crash in America

A trainee pilot, hailing from Kurnool, was killed in a plane crash at Hooks Airport on Boudreaux Road in northwest Harris County on Sunday evening.

According to reports, the pilot was flying a single engine Cessna and had reported engine troubles. He was trying to return to the runway when the plane crashed into a hangar. Soon after the crash the plane was engulfed in flames.
Karthik, son of a BSNL general manager Nagarjuna, died on the spot, while his trainer was grievously injured. He was rushed to the nearby Memorial Hermann Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Due to the nature of the crash, and subsequent smoke and fire, made it difficult for the victims to receive initial help. 
Karthik had recently moved to America to be trained as a pilot. On hearing the news of his tragic death his family plunged into grief.
