Kavuri to stay away from Parliament session
Senior Congress MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, who submitted his resignation after the expansion of the Central Cabinet recently, said he would stay away from the winter session of Parliament despite a whip being issued to all members.
Kavuri's resignation was not accepted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in-spite of it , he said he will not attend the session.
"I am not going to attend Parliament session," Kavuri told reporters. It is learnt that Kavuri was upset over the party not giving him due recognition.
Interestingly, MP Lagadapati Rajagopal also publicly criticized the Congress high command saying that “it was bad that the party could not give due recognition to Sambasiva Rao.”
