JEE Mains exam marred with errors - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The much awaited JEE Main exam (Joint Entrance Examination) held on Sunday made students to go for a toss, with several aspirants complaining about the question paper ambiguity and lack of wall clocks at the examination centers.

The exam was taken by nearly 1.17 lakh students from both the Telugu states to get admission into 32 NIIT, 18 IIT and 19 Central government or state government funded institutes.

One of the JEE main aspirant said that they were given assurance by the management to place wall clocks at the examination hall, but to students dismay they were forced to depend on the invigilators for asking time at repeated intervals.

While the other student said that they wanted to take the issue with the authorities at the center but there was nobody to look into the matter.

Meanwhile, the subject experts opined that although the question paper was comparatively easy comparing to last year, but the question paper carried a lot of ambiguity.

Ananda Raman, Director of FIITJEE cited an example from Chemistry paper, who said," Students were asked to find out the vapor pressure in one of the question, but they failed to mention the temperature at which the water is being boiled."

He also added that few question in Physics and Mathematics carried more than one correct answer, leaving the students in dilemma.
