Jagan undergoes treatment at NIMS, to remain in hospital - Sakshi Post

YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad where he was admitted following a five-day fast in support of united Andhra Pradesh.

The doctors at NIMS hospital who are treating Jagan said that he is still weak and requires to be under medical monitoring for a few more days.

Doctors forcibly induced IV fluids into Jagan's body on Wednesday night.Till the last minute, Jagan requested the doctors not to obstruct his deeksha.

This is second time that police foiled Jagan's Deeksha for Samaikyandhra in the last one month. He earlier took up the Deeksha in Chanchalguda jail demanding the Centre to keep the state united and not go ahead with the bifurcation process.

Police had last night evicted Jagan from the venue of his indefinite hunger strike called to protest bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh as doctors voiced concern over his deteriorating health. A team of policemen swooped on Jagan's house at Lotus Pond late last night and bodily lifted him before putting him into an ambulance and taking him straight to the state-run Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).

YSR Congress leaders said Jagan is likely to remain in the hospital for the day as his condition deteriorated due to the fast. Jagan began his indefinite fast on October 5 in support of united Andhra Pradesh and doctors advised yesterday that he should call it off as his blood sugar levels and other parameters caused concern.

His family members and YSRCP leaders visited him in the hospital.

Though Jagan wanted to continue his fast even after being admitted to the hospital, he was given treatment by the doctors in view of his health condition.
