In his mission to stall the process of bifurcating of Andhra Pradesh and to seek public support for the 'Samaikyandhra' movement, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy left to launch his 'Samaikya Sankharavam' Yatra at Kuppam in Chittoor district on Friday.

Before setting off for the tour, Jagan sought the blessings of his mother and party honourary president YS Vijayamma at his Lotus Pond residence, in Hyderabad.
As per schedule, Jagan will first reach Pipalyam in Kuppam constituency where he will meet the family members of Lakshmi who died of shock following the tragic death of former CM YS Rajashekara Reddy. Post meeting Lakshmi, the party president will unveil the statues of YSR at Edungapalle and Mallanuru cross. Later, he will address a public meeting at 2 PM.
Incidentally, Kuppam in Chittoor district happens to be the constituency of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is also a native of Chittoor district. Thus, Jagan's tour in Chittor gained importance in political circles.
