IM Used Porn Novel ‘Stuff My Stockings’ for Creating Mail IDs
Hyderabad: Terrorist outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) that masterminded bomb blasts in Dilsukhnagar in 2013, has used a porn novel to create mail IDs for the operatives involved the plan. The investigators found out that IM used Stuff My Stockings, a porn novel, to create IDs for communication among themselves about planning and execution of the blasts.
Though they knew it was a book they used for the IDs long back, the special team that was formed to handle the case has found the title of the novel after a year of investigation. The IM leader and founder Riyaz Bhatkal started planning for the blast in Hyderabad from 2012 and gave the responsibility to his brother Yaseen Bhatkal. Asadullah Haddi, Tehsin Akhtar alias Monu and Zakhi-ur-Rehman alias Waqas were chosen to carry out the mission in Hyderabad and these three were contacted through the codes used in the porn novel, instead of using mobile phones which would make it easier for the police to track them down and failure of their plan.
Riyaz had also given strict instructions that they would communicate only via e-mail and social networking sites like Nimbuzz; fake IDs were created in order to use the site as any other common user.
In an e-mail to his subordinates in 2012, Riyaz sent a book in PDF format and assigned 10 pages each to the members who were given the responsibility of carrying out the operation. Each person created an ID using the first word of the first page of the 10 pages assigned to them; he also suggested that they could use a digit according to their convenience. It is also said that they were instructed to create a ID every month using the first word of every page that they were given to read. Communication among themselves was made easier as all of them had received a copy of the novel.
Yaseen Bhatkal’s arrest in 2013 has led the special team to the information about how the planning was carried out and implemented. However, the name of the book was still a mystery. A year of investigation and searching has now revealed that the book was available on the internet by the name “Stuff my Stockings”.
